Haworthia Revisited

The introduction to the book includes historical sketch on Haworthia, a section on cultivation and plant health. Bruce Bayer's thoughts on a genus and species concept and a synopsis on the taxonomic changes are given. The various species are covered in detail in the main text and a chapter is also included on the landscape and habitat showing panoramic photographs of the landscape. The book recognises 61 species, 4 subspecies, 137 varieties and 5 forms, including 6 new species, three of which are described for the first time, 27 new varieties and 37 new combinations.
