- The cost of the tour includes all accommodation (from
Sunday evening 10 September to Sunday
24 September), as well as all meals and soft drinks.
- The trip will depart from Windhoek, Namibia at 09h00
on 11 September
- Participants must check whether visas for Namibia are
required for their passport.
- Flight to Windhoek is not included in the tour price.
Flight bookings as well as additional bookings for
accommodation will be arranged on request.
- Tour will end in Calitzdorp, arrival will be in time for
guests to attend the Congress reception event.
- Full details will be supplied to those registering for the
tour.
Succulent-rich areas west of Windhoek will be visited,
whereafter the tour group will head south, subject to
change the route will cover southern Namibia, the Sperrgebiet,
the Richtersveld, Namaqualand and the Great
Karoo, collectively known as the Succulent Karoo. The
route will include some of the world�s richest succulent
areas.
Plants to be seen include genera such as Aloe, Haworthia,
Tylecodon, Euphorbia, Pelargonium, Sarcocaulon, Pachypodium,
Crassula, Lithops, Conophytum, Cheiridopsis,
Pleiospilos and many other mesembs, numerous stapeliads
and many more.
