Clothing
In all the regions covered by the Tours and the Congress the weather can be cool in the evening and hot during the day. It is therefore necessary to bring warm clothing which can be discarded during the day. On hot days it is advisable to protect arms and legs unless you are a well-seasoned traveller. Hats are essential. Sunglasses are advisable. Sensible footwear which is both comfortable and easy to walk in should be brought. The rocky ground in the Richtersveld, Namaqualand, the Little Karoo and Namibia requires protection to feet and ankles.
